On 20–21 November 2025, Youthmakers Hub (YMH) participated in the AU–EU Civil Society Forum in Luanda, Angola, following its recognition as the No.1 winner of the Africa-Europe Foundation (AEF) Youth Awards 2025 for the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab. Konstantinos Maragkos, Co-founder and CEO of Youthmakers Hub, represented the organisation across high-level discussions and policy dialogues.

YMH also contributed to the event “Collective Voices in Action: Where Youth and Civil Society Shape the Africa–Europe Partnership of Tomorrow”, reinforcing the role of youth in shaping the AU–EU partnership.

During the Forum, Youthmakers Hub made targeted contributions across key sessions:

  • OECD Workshop – AU–EU Stakeholder Engagement Mechanism: advocated for inclusive stakeholder participation under the principle “leaving no one behind”, promoting collaboration with grassroots organisations and youth leaders. This approach was later reflected in the Forum’s official recommendations.
  • Panel on the AU–EU Joint Vision 2030: highlighted persistent visa barriers affecting youth mobility and called for stronger alignment between EU institutions, EU Delegations, and Member States.
  • Facilitation of the “People” Thematic Roundtable: contributed to concrete recommendations on youth mobility, digital migration literacy, and inclusive participation.

On 21 November, the consolidated recommendations were presented, including priorities on digital connectivity, democratic participation, and the inclusion of youth and women. These contributions were integrated into discussions ahead of the 7th AU–EU Summit.

Through its participation, Youthmakers Hub strengthened its presence in international policy spaces, contributing to shaping youth-responsive solutions and advancing cross-continental cooperation.
