On 28 September 2026, Youthmakers Hub participated in a Welcome Reception at The Demos Center of The American College of Greece in Athens, marking the start of Athens Democracy Forum week.

Organized by the Embassy of Canada, the Canadian Democracy Delegation, and The Demos Center, the reception brought together a Canadian delegation of civil society leaders, democracy practitioners, and student delegates for an evening of exchange and networking.

Youthmakers Hub was represented by Marilena Maragkou, Stefanos Stagakis, Vasiliki Kasioni, and Alessandro Moschin. During the reception, the team connected with civil society representatives from Canada and students from Toronto Metropolitan University, exchanging experiences and learning more about their work, perspectives, and aspirations.

The discussions provided an opportunity to explore shared interests around youth engagement, civic participation, and international cooperation, while building new connections between actors from Greece and Canada.

Participation in exchanges like this reflects Youthmakers Hub’s wider commitment to empowering young people, fostering cross-cultural collaboration, and creating connections that contribute to positive change.
