On 17-18 October 2025, Youthmakers Hub, in collaboration with InterafBase, organized The Africa-Greece Entrepreneurship (AGE) Summit 2025, establishing a flagship event designed to foster collaboration between Africa and Europe. Under the theme “Future-proofing entrepreneurship through digitalization,” the summit brought together:
- 100+ participants
- 22 speakers
- Entrepreneurs, policymakers, academics, and youth leaders
The two-day event featured keynotes and panel discussions, power talks, hands-on workshops, and dynamic networking moments that brought Africa and Greece into direct dialogue. Across two stages, the Summit showcased a strong combination of high-level speakers, including Dr. Esther Kagure Munyiri and Dr. Florence Wanjiku Njau from Kenyatta University, Dr. Wardah Rajab from Kampala University, Prof. Betty Tsakarestou from Panteion University, Dr. Edna Thangu from Kenyatta University, Prof. Asteris Huliaras from the University of the Peloponnese, and Dr. Jaume Guia from the University of Girona alongside prominent Greek and European voices such as Dimitris Fatouros, United Nations Regional Information Center, Vasiliki Alexandraki, Honorary Consul of Uganda in Athens, and Andreas Galanis, Entrepreneurship Talks. Complementing them, experts like John Kourkoutas and George Megas contributed practical perspectives on digital innovation, EU funding, and cross-continental entrepreneurship, creating a balanced exchange of knowledge, experience, and opportunity between Africa and Greece.
Key topics included:

- EU–Africa partnerships
Panel discussions explored real opportunities and challenges in cross-continental collaboration, with contributions from academics, entrepreneurs, and institutional representatives from Greece and multiple African countries. At the same time, power talks delivered concrete lessons on resilience, digital innovation, and access to EU funding, while parallel workshops provided hands-on learning on topics such as ESG for SMEs, AI and user experience, and marketing strategies in uncertain global contexts.
The Summit was supported by key institutions, including Panteion University, Kenyatta University, and the University of the Peloponnese, and was conducted under the auspices of the Consulates of Kenya and Uganda in Greece, alongside a strong network of ecosystem partners that contributed to its implementation and outreach.
