We are honored to announce that Youthmakers Hub has been ranked 1st at the 2025 Africa–Europe Foundation Youth Awards through the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab – Power of the Collective programme. Organized by the Africa–Europe Foundation, the awards received a total of 401 applications, including 373 from Africa and 28 from Europe, with only eight initiatives selected for their innovation, feasibility, and contribution to strengthening the Africa–Europe partnership under the #RoadtoLuanda25 campaign.

Youthmakers Hub won with the “Your Voice, Your Road” campaign for the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab programme. Through this campaign, we worked to amplify young people’s voices ahead of the 7th AU–EU Summit by combining digital outreach across social media platforms with participatory youth dialogues hosted on the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab App. The campaign created opportunities for young people across both continents to actively contribute to discussions shaping the future of the AU-EU partnership.

The results demonstrate the scale and effectiveness of this effort. The campaign reached more than 640,000 people, generated over 5,000 engagement actions, and activated more than 1,600 users on the App. These figures reflect a high level of participation and show how digital tools can successfully mobilize youth communities and facilitate cross-continental dialogue.

This recognition confirms the impact of Youthmakers Hub’s work in designing and implementing communication strategies that engage young people in meaningful ways. It also highlights the importance of youth-led collaboration in shaping policy and strengthening partnerships between Africa and Europe. For us, receiving this award is both a significant achievement and a strong motivation to continue creating initiatives that empower young people and ensure their voices are included in decision-making processes.
