Varvara Tsirogianni | Assistant Project Manager

“Also known as night-owl, restlessly wandering, eager to learn. Keen on critical thinking and arts. I strongly believe in the power of non-formal, lifelong education. Constantly searching for ways to express myself a bit more, be part of a team and why not make an impact. At the moment, I feel like getting involved with the work of Youthmakers Hub is a great opportunity for me to do the exact thing. “

My 5 Ws

Who is your role model?

Surely, there are plenty of individuals that have inspired and inspire me every day but if I had to choose one it would definitely be my mother. Why? Because she’s loving, super-patient, dedicated, humble, adaptive, cool-headed and last but not least passionate about her job.
What are you proud of?

What are you proud of?

I guess the thing I am most proud of is my constant willingness to stay true to myself and others.

When was a life-changing moment in your life?

My first Erasmus+ youth exchange. Even though it was held in Athens where I have been living all my life, spending 10 days with almost 30 unknown human beings with different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds was an unprecedented experience. I got the chance not only to be the city-guide but mostly to explore my hometown from the perspective of “others”. Keep in mind, I had never travelled abroad back then.

Where have you felt mostly outside of your comfort zone?

In every place I had to deal with my claustrophobia.

Why Youthmakers Hub?

Because I, as Youthmakers Hub, believe in youth, education and change. Having said that, I hope that by the time my internship will have come to an end, I will be able to answer these questions regarding my future plans: What? Why? When? Where? How? With who?
