“I am a passionate young person who believes in the power of cooperation. I am a student at the University of Piraeus, in the Department of International and European Studies and interested in financial topics. I believe that the combination of formal and non formal education, namely of knowledge, experience and skills is the key to success.”
My 5 Ws
Who is your role model?
From my childhood, I had the opportunity to meet and associate with inspirational and motivational teachers, professors, colleagues and friends. I believe that each and every from those people affected my life and my choices, gave me the chance to learn, to change and they contributed to my behavior’s configuration. Therefore, there is not only one person who is my role model, but each and every from my surroundings is unique, different and valuable for me. Thus, the combination of these stimuli is so important. Besides, the ideal would be to become a role model for other people.
What are you proud of?
Initially, I believe that every person should be proud of his choices, decisions and mistakes. I am surely proud of the above but also of my adaptability, respect to others and the fact that I dare, setting challenges to myself.
When was a life-changing moment in your life?
Many moments in my life mark something unique and I am really thankful for that. Recently, a life-changing moment was in an International Conference, which was held in Bratislava, when I had the chance to have my first public speech with an audience of experts being the youngest in age of all participants there.
Where have you felt mostly outside of your comfort zone?
When I was 12 years old, I visited my uncle in Berlin who was working in the Greek Embassy there. I lived with him for almost one month having the opportunity to live abroad, to become more independent, to improve my knowledge in German language, to visit one of the most beautiful capitals in the world and also many German cities. Even though it was a very pleasant chance, then it was not easy for me to abandon my home and my family, thus it was my first time feeling out of my comfort zone. In the aftermath of this wonderful journey, travelling abroad was only a desirable opportunity and not a challenge for me as a child.
