Digitally Present, Physically Active

Digitally Present, Physically Active relates to nutrition, physical and mental health. It aspires to raise awareness about the importance of a balanced diet and its beneficial effects on one’s body and mental health. The project aims to cultivate the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, consisting of a life-long healthy diet and continuous physical activity, the positive effects of which will be multiplied by the beneficiaries of the local community.

The activities under this programme are:

This activity lasts one month and includes an informative social media campaign on nutrition and exercise tips. It  raises awareness and motivates people to change their routines and habits to healthier ones regarding nutrition and physical activity. A strategy is followed for each social media platform to spread the content to a broader audience.

A live stream with a nutritionist is organized and moderated by the organization’s team members to clarify several nutrition myths.

This webinar consists of a roundtable discussion with experts from three fields: nutrition, physical health, and psychology. What is the connection between them? How does food and physical health influence psychology? Attendees send their questions to the panelists and clarify their doubts.

A series of videos with fitness exercises are shared through social media to give people ideas about simple activities they can try daily to keep fit. The videos are developed with a professional trainer and are short and accurate. This activity motivates participants to exercise and follow a healthier lifestyle.

Participants upload photos or videos of their healthy habits related to nutrition or physical exercises. They tag specific accounts and use the hashtags recommended by team members. In this way, more people are inspired and motivated to follow this trend and follow a healthy pattern of life.
