Empowering Greek Youth for Sustainable Citizenship: Spotlight on the nEU Citizenship Initiative

Georgianna Chondrou, the Communications Lead of Youthmakers Hub, was spotlighted at the nEU Citizenship’s press conference. She highlighted the fact that the initiative’s goal is to equip participants with insights into active citizenship within the contours of sustainable development and digital transformation. Facilitated by pragmatic activities, the nEU Citizenship initiative is poised to galvanize the youth of Greece, empowering them to serve as multipliers of the European priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, spanning local, national, and regional tiers. The initiative aims to improve environmental awareness among the younger generation through working together effectively on climate-related goals. Accentuating the vigorous involvement of the youth, the program endeavors to foster heightened awareness regarding environmental issues. The initiative extends an inclusive invitation to individuals aged 18 to 30, along with those aged 10 to 17, to collectively confront challenges linked to sustainable development, the promotion of sustainable tourism, and the productive management of waste.
