My 5 Ws
Who is your role model?
There are many people who have continuously inspired me, not only professionally, but also personally. Teachers, friends, public figures… However, my main role model is my grandfather. He was the kindest, most intelligent person I’ve ever met and a big part of who I am today is because of him. I try to live by his example everyday.
What are you proud of?
I’m proud of my relentlessness when things get tough, of how understanding I am with others and with myself, and my bravery to do things that scare me.
When was a life-changing moment in your life?
I think one of the most life-changing experiences I’ve had has been the Covid-19 pandemic. This period of time has put everything into perspective and has made me realise what really matters in life. I think the lessons I learned throughout this time will accompany me forever.
Life’s unexpected, so make sure you make the most out of it!
Where have you felt mostly outside of your comfort zone?
There have been countless times where I’ve been out of my comfort zone, but one that specifically impacted me was when I travelled for the first time alone going to Edinburgh, arriving there at midnight and making my way around a foreign country in a foreign language at 19 years old. It’s the closest time my mom has had to suffering a heart attack.
Why Youthmakers Hub?
The thing I like most about Youthmakers Hub is that not only do they believe in change, but they put in the work to make change happen, which is easier said than done. It is truly inspiring and I’m very glad to be part of the change, to be part of Youthmakers Hub.
